11+ English Practice Paper 1, Multiple Choice, from Sheena L Ager. Suitable for most grammar and independent schools that use a multiple-choice format, such as GL, Quest, FSCE and CSSE.

One complete English practice test paper with 50 questions and parent teaching explanations. It covers:

Comprehension, with two passages and 26 questions

Punctuation, with 8 questions

Spelling, with 8 questions

Cloze, with 8 questions

Comes with parent teaching explanations, not just answers. They explain both the correct and incorrect answers, so your child can learn from the wrong options too. For every comprehension question, the parent teaching explanations show what the question tests, the key evidence in the passage, why the correct answer is right and why each wrong option is wrong. Each punctuation and spelling answer gives the corrected sentence and the rule behind it, and each cloze answer explains why the chosen word fits. Comprehension terms such as inference and deduction are also explained in plain language.
